Level 1 Kiteboarding Instructor Seminar
You´re passionate about Kiteboarding, open minded and love working with other people? You are rather outside on the beach than inside an office and flexibility is one of your great strengths?
Well than, becoming a Kiteboarding Instructor might just be the right thing for you! Joining one of our Kitesurfing Instructor courses will be your chance to turn your passion for Kiteboarding into a profession! If you´re in doubt if your knowledge and riding level is sufficient, take a minute and test yourself.

Is your basic theoretical knowledge sufficient to join an ITC?

Are your riding skills sufficient to pass the exam?
For the course:
- Level 6 of the VDWS-Kiteboarding-Levelsystem ( basic jumps and gliding jumps or transition jump. Important: The VDWS-Basic-Licence does not have to be proved. See also practical video).
- Teaching experience is not necessary, but the theory from the VDWS-training folder is.
To complete the VDWS Kite Instructor Level 1 licence:
- complete Instructor course
- pass practical exam
- pass teaching exam
- VDWS Membership
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Theoretical foundations:
To acquire the necessary methodical-didactical knowledge to make kitesurfing fun for the students. Making and evaluating first teaching experiences by teaching kite lesson with real students.
- Practical basics:
To organise and carry out safe kitesurfing lessons in the basic licence at different locations with different kitesurfing systems.
Duration: 8 days
Price: 695€
Extra costs: getting there, accommodation, equipment
- The practical kitesurfing examination can take place at a wind speed of 12 - 30 knots.
- Teaching ability will be examined by a short demonstration lesson (30 min).
During the course you will complete the written exam (90min.), which covers the course contents. It is not required for the Level 1 Instructor but it will be necessary for the Kitesurf Instructor Level 2.
